New name for Tourism Nelson Tasman

Tourism Nelson Tasman has renamed itself Latitude Nelson.

Chairman Paul Dalzell says the name change was in response to a review of the regional marketing organisation last November by its local body owners, the Nelson city and Tasman district councils.

The review found a new name was needed to convey the essence of the region. "Latitude" referred to the region's climate, geographical location and maritime connections, which had an industry and recreational link.
