New hotel overlooks Cup Village

Visitors to the next America's Cup will be able to watch the Cup Village action from their hotel suites.

The Sebel Suites, which opened last month as Auckland's newest four-star hotel, is at the Viaduct Basin, surrounded by cafes, bars and restaurants.

The 138-suite hotel is part of the Mirvac Hotels group, which runs Auckland's Quay West Suites.

The Sebel Suites have a special opening rate starting at $139 plus GST for a studio suite. Honeymoon packages start from $155, including breakfast and a carpark.
