For those who fondly remember the 70s television show Fantasy Island with the dignified Mr O'Rourke and sidekick Tattoo, Bill was the man behind the magic, the show's set designer for five and half years.

His ability to create the fantastic is evident the moment you enter White Shadows Country Inn, the boutique lodge owned by Bailey and partner Mike Harris.

Only 10 minutes from both the airport and central Queenstown, this secluded country dwelling offers guests 4ha of park-like grounds to relax in. Bed and breakfast, in one of two suites, costs $495 a room a night.
