The name is a mouthful and the restaurant sounds as though it is filled with fair-dinkum Aussie character.
The Flamin Bull Australian Indigenous Restaurant is an hour's drive from Melbourne in Warragul, and offers local delicacies, ranging from crocodile and kangaroo to barramundi and yabby or emu, all seasoned with the Australian flavours of lemon myrtle leaf, river mint and macadamia nuts.
The restaurant has also teamed up with Nature Bound Tours to offer adventure tours of wild caving, tasting bush tucker and learning about the Aboriginal culture and history.
For those who haven't got time to venture outside Melbourne, the Flamin Bull has a city version at 121 Lygon St.
Contact: Lygon St bookings phone (00 613) 9349 1174; Warragul (00 613) 5623 2377.
The next nature tour is on September 16 and costs $A120 ($NZ146) or $A60 ($73) for children.
