What was your greatest holiday?
Travelling around Europe in winter with photographer Solomon Mortimer last Christmas for three months.
And the worst?
When I was 11, I went on a skiing holiday to Queenstown with my family. While we were there my grandmother died in Auckland so we had to come home.
If we bump into you on holiday, what are you most likely to be doing?
Looking for a good wall to roll on, and good architecture to make a one-minute video with Solomon.
If we could teleport you to one place in NZ for a week-long holiday, where would it be?
How about for a dream holiday internationally?
What's the dumbest thing you've ever done when travelling?
Not getting a visa before going to China, resulting in two extra flights and having to buy a visa at Hong Kong Airport at great expense. I had to get the visa within four hours on a Friday afternoon to fly back to Beijing for a performance the next day.

What's the best travel tip you've ever been given?
Use packing cubes/cells when you are backpacking. It makes the continual act of packing and unpacking very simple.
What was the most memorable meal you've had while travelling?
Having dinner in Beijing with the New Zealand Ambassador and Minister of Culture.
What's the best thing you've brought back from a trip?
My long, black Burberry winter coat from a market in Brussels.
Favourite airport at which to land?
Hong Kong. So easy, clear and simple with Terminals 1 and 2 only a few minutes apart and fast, free Wi-Fi.
What's the next trip you've got planned?
New York next year.
