If we bump into you on holiday, what are you most likely to be doing?
Either eating and drinking, reading by the ocean, or out exploring — I love going for walks and taking in a place. I also like trying out the local language, with varying degrees of success.
If we could teleport you to one place in New Zealand for a week-long holiday, where would it be?
It would have to be either Milford Sound or Fiordland — I'm yet to see either of those places and it's starting to feel like I'm missing a rite of passage. Plus, Queenstown's nearby and I do love a good glass of pinot noir.
How about for a dream holiday internationally?
Somewhere warm. I'd love to see more of the Caribbean, after getting just a wee taster in Tulum.

What's the best travel tip you've ever been given?
Sign up to things — be it clubs, VIP memberships for airlines or car rental places — milk the system basically. It's amazing how many queues you can jump just by having a membership card sorted, and often it's free.
What was the most memorable meal you've had while travelling?
Eating a Nutella Crepe with a coffee, while walking around the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris on my birthday — that will stick in my mind forever.
What's the best thing you've brought back from a trip?
I found a second-hand rabbit fur jacket at Splendour in the Grass in Byron Bay a few years ago, in one of the festival stalls — it was perfect for a mid-winter festival, plus I used it as my night-time jacket for our wedding in March.
Favourite airport to land at?
Wellington, because there's no place like home.
What's the next trip you have planned?
Our honeymoon! We're both keen to go back to Coachella next year. In fact, we looked into going a little fancy with some on-site yurts — but at US$25,000 ($34,320) per couple we might be re-thinking that one.
