What's the dumbest thing you've ever done when travelling? I didn't tell my wife about capsizing a catamaran in Fiji, I was mortified when she questioned our bill at the end and asked what the rescue fee was.
Aisle seat or window seat? I have very long legs, and a strong bladder - I am emergency row, next to the window.

What's the best travel tip you've ever been given? Eat where the locals go.
What is the most memorable meal you've had while travelling? In Lucca, Tuscany, we went to a beautiful little family-run place. Their signature dish was a 1.2kg T-bone, off a four-year-old beast they had raised, with a flagon of their chianti. It was in the protein coma that followed that I decided to follow my dream of opening Miss Moonshine's.
What's the best thing you've brought back from a trip? Barbecue!
Favourite airport to land at? Can't beat Queenstown, I just love the views.
What's the next trip you have planned? End-of-season ski at Ohakune and I can't wait.
