What was your greatest holiday?
I was whisked away to Mykonos by a Greek Aussie supermodel of a man back in 1992. It was the first time I had travelled overseas and I was madly in love. My Greek hunk introduced me to Mykonos. I not only fell in love with Greek men, I fell in love with Greece.
And the worst?
The worst trips never involve the destination - it's who you travel with that can make it the worst trip. You can be in paradise but if you're with the wrong person it doesn't matter where you are. I once went to Cambodia with "that" person, and I ended up leaving him at the centre of the universe at Angkor Wat. I have to go back so I can experience Cambodia the right way next time.
If we bump into you on holiday, what are you most likely to be doing?
My dream holiday would be to return to Song Saa (The Sweethearts) Island in Cambodia, hire the entire island for my birthday, fly all my friends over and lavish them with beautiful Cambodian food, culture, love and laughter, with a Fantasy Island theme where all my guests tell me their all-time fantasy and during their stay I make them all come true.
What's the dumbest thing you've ever done when travelling?
I was flying to Mykonos and I mistook the 24hr clock. My friends called me from the airport and asked me where I was, I died and had to re book on Olympic Airways, which cost a fortune to book on the day of travel. Major mistake.
Complete this sentence: I can't travel without ...
... Estee Lauder Eight Hour Cream.
What's the best travel tip you've ever been given?
Drink lots of booze and take sleeping tablets. I have awful friends.
What was the most memorable meal you've had while travelling?
I love Qantas Domestic's sausage rolls in Economy. Nothing makes me feel more at home than the smell of a sausage roll being heated up while flying over Bondi Beach.
What's the best thing you've brought back from a trip?
A hangover because it reminds me of what a great time I had.
Favourite airport to land at?
Nothing beats arriving back home in New York City. I love New York like a lover.
