What was your greatest holiday?

Holidaying at Matapouri Bay with my family during my teenage years. We used to hire a gorgeous little bach on the beach front and spent our days cooking barbecues, swimming and socialising in the sun.

And the worst?

Doing a trip down the west coast of the North Island with my family when I was about 10. We went in September and it rained for days. We just spent hours and hours driving through rugged bush and winding roads. For a person who gets rather severe motion sickness, it was absolute torture.

If we bump into you on holiday, what are you most likely to be doing?

Relaxing with a glass of wine in one hand and a book in the other, most likely on a beach.

If we could teleport you to one place in New Zealand for a week-long holiday, where would it be?

The Bay of Islands. So incredibly beautiful up there. I could live on the beautiful beaches all summer long.

How about for a dream holiday internationally?

As one of my majors at university was classical studies, I would love to go to Athens or Rome.

What's the dumbest thing you've ever done when travelling?

Assuming that I wouldn't need a rain jacket in Rarotonga.

What's the best travel tip you've ever been given?

Don't pre-plan anything. Get to your destination and decide from there. Be spontaneous.

What was the most memorable meal you've had while travelling?

It would have to be the best pizza I've ever tasted from Trader Jacks in Rarotonga.

What's the best thing you've brought back from a trip?

My husband!

Favourite airport to land at?

I honestly haven't flown into many places (and I'm quite a nervous flier) - but I do like flying into Queenstown through the mountains in winter.

What's the next trip you've got planned?

I really want to perform internationally next year - so I'm planning a trip to either Melbourne or hopefully I'll get to perform as a part of a festival. We shall see!
