The Kiwi cricketer shares his travel memories.

What was your greatest holiday?

When I tagged along with my wife, Laura, to Hawaii while she was working for The Golf Show in 2013. She worked and I got to play golf every day ... and we got engaged as well!

And the worst?

I've been to some pretty isolated places with work, there's a few spots around the globe I won't be travelling to by choice.

If we bump into you on holiday, what are you most likely to be doing?

Depends where we go, but a safe bet is either by the pool or playing golf.

If we could teleport you to one place in New Zealand for a week-long holiday, where would it be?

Queenstown. Lovely place. Things to do: there's golf and there's Fergburger - ticks a lot of boxes.

How about for a dream holiday internationally?

I love Hawaii, but am really keen to go to Tahiti. Heard good things and seen good pictures.

What's the dumbest thing you've ever done when travelling?

I remember heading to the Caribbean for cricket in 2013 and, when going through airport security, I took off my favourite watch and left it in the personal items tub while going through the x-ray machine. Never to be seen again.

A coffee machine when travelling to the subcontinent. Can't beat New Zealand coffee.

What's the best travel tip you've ever been given?

Don't lose your passport and make sure your visa is sorted.

What was the most memorable meal you've had while travelling?

A place called Nobu in London was right up there. Quality Japanese, highly recommend.

What's the best thing you've brought back from a trip?

A fiancee from Hawaii (considering my wife will likely read this).

Favourite airport to land at?

Singapore for shopping and Auckland for getting home.

What's the next trip you've got planned?

A few tours with cricket coming up and hopefully a nice weekend away in New Zealand at some point during the summer.
