Best holiday ever?
Our honeymoon in the Great Barrier Reef. It started with a sea plane to the privately owned Orpheus Island. It was hideaway for movie stars back in the 1940s and still has that great ambience. It is very beautiful and secluded. Amazing.

Where is your next holiday?
Perth, Australia, and the American west next year.

Best travel tip?
Let your wife do the packing.

Best anti-jetlag tip?
The homeopathic anti-jetlag remedies and a sense of humour.

Best get-away-from-it-all place to escape to and why?
We have a mountain lair in Southern Arizona. It has incredible views of 11 mountain ranges, fabulous weather and is a great place to relax, get grounded and really feel at one with the land again.

Best meal you've eaten while travelling?
A five-star feast of wild boar, organic veges and freshly made mountain apple pie at the Tree Room at Sundance Resort, Utah - it's Robert Redford's eco resort - and one of his fine wines to accompany it.

Where would you love to return to and why?
The stunningly beautiful place of our wedding. Gougane Barra, West Cork, Ireland.

Worst travel experience?
Losing our luggage on a US carrier and spending four days of our holiday trying to retrieve our bags.

Most luxurious travel moment?
A couple's massage at Sundance after a long day of hiking up Mt Timpanogos, Utah. It was pure bliss.

What do you hate about travelling?
US Security screening queues.
