What was your greatest holiday? I think it would have to be going back to the Philippines last year with my partner. It was the first time I'd gone back since I left to come to New Zealand in 1999 so that was pretty special to me.
If we bump into you on holiday, what are you most likely to be doing? Eating. One-hundred per cent just straight up gorging on whatever delicious things that place has to offer. If you go travelling and you're not just eating everything there, why did you even go there?
If we could teleport you to one place in New Zealand for a week-long holiday, where would it be? Northland. On a beach. Maybe somewhere near Cable Bay or Doubtless Bay. If you could turn up the thermostat too after teleporting me — that would be great.
How about for a dream holiday internationally? I'd love to visit any country in Asia I haven't been to yet — and America during Wrestlemania weekend.
What's the dumbest thing you've ever done when travelling? While in New York by myself I met this lovely group of young Filipino people the same age as me. We ended up hanging out and I spent a night with them getting dinner, dessert and all that. As they were dropping me off I realised I'd lost my wallet. Luckily they offered to help me look for it. We looked for two hours for my wallet, all over town — only to realise it had been inside my jacket pocket the whole time. I have not seen them since.
