What was your greatest holiday?
Greece - beautiful islands and the ruins were just enchanting. The home of the clever clogs! Locally, Northland - we camped and golfed, and it was cheap and beautiful.
And the worst?
Dubai - not a great place for backpackers IMHO. Also Wellington Airport for 24 hours when I was meant to be in Nelson was not much fun.
If we bump into you on holiday, what are you most likely to be doing?
Swimming, beating my brothers at golf or chasing the kids around a shopping mall.
What's your dream destination?
I lived in London for a few years. It's a great city.
What's the dumbest thing you've done when travelling?
Getting dragged into a shop in Dubai and realising that if I didn't buy a dodgy knock-off DVD, then that the crazy merchant wouldn't let me leave.
What will you always have in your hand luggage?
Spare clothes, I fear getting my check-in lost.

What's the best thing you've brought back from a trip?
A guitar - it was such a great deal.
Favourite airport to land at?
Wellington - It's always nice getting home and the wind makes it an adventure.
What's the next trip you've got planned?
Melbourne for a weekend in September. I have visited only for work back in the early 2000s - can't wait.
