Rotorua Museum, in the historic Bath House, has reinstated a viewing platform overlooking adjacent Government Gardens and Lake Rotorua. It was part of the original structure but was removed after the 1931 Napier earthquake. The museum houses exhibits from its heyday as a health spa, plus galleries on the area's social and geological history, including the Tarawera eruption and the 28th Maori Battalion.
