The Pointon Collection is an extensive private collection of vintage cars, motoring memorabilia and period costumes in the Wairarapa.
Exhibits are displayed in a historic building set out as a 1930s garage, with vehicles and appropriately dressed mannequins interspersed among old tools, equipment, signs and accessories.
A large collection of original costumes covers the period 1860 to 1960, and includes wedding gowns, daywear, evening gowns, accessories and underwear.
It's five minutes from Masterton, signposted off the Castlepoint/Eastcoast Rd.
Open daily 10am to 4pm.
