Barbara Doyle's award-winning weekends of mystery, intrigue and murder at the Brian Boru Hotel in Thames are moving north this winter with four productions, the first to be held at the Opononi Resort Hotel this weekend.
The weekends will also be used to raise money for local charities. Other venues have yet to be announced.
Doyle, who has organised the mystery weekends for 16 years, will also produce eight at the Brian Boru this year. The Opononi hotel, established in 1894, is opposite the beach and wharf made famous in 1956 by Opo the dolphin.
