European-style public urinals are reaching the streets for the first time in Britain.

London's West End looks likely to be the first area in the country to install the public conveniences, placed in tourist spots such as Convent Gardens and Leicester Square.

The new loos are arriving at the same time as a by-law comes into force, making unlawful street fouling a £500 offence.
