New Zealand's adrenalin-pumping, body-soaking, hair-whipping, action-packed adventures can all be found at a glance.
Auckland-based Hema Maps has published the New Zealand South Island Adventure Map and its North Island equivalent.
They look like basic road maps, with the island depicted on one big fold-out page. But each is peppered with enough colour-coded squares to convince even a bored local there is plenty of home-grown action available. .
They range from white-water rafting, dolphin, whale and seal watching, and skydiving to mountaineering, bungy jumping, hot-air ballooning and horse riding. More gentle activities are also mapped, including boat cruising, fishing, guided walks and scenic flights.
All the activities are also listed with telephone numbers, websites and e-mail addresses on the back of the maps.
