Romance is cause for a six-day festival in the South Island's garden city, and they use everything from music, comedy, outdoor films and dance to show their hearts on their sleeve.
Venues around Christchurch have been getting into the spirit of love for partners, families, the arts, good food and othercultures - every February since 1991, helped along by the Christchurch Arts Centre.
Most events are free.
The festival begins on February 9 and finishes on Valentine's Day night, February 14.
