Featuring whole human body parts, Body Worlds is not for the squeamish. The aim of the exhibition in London's Atlantis Gallery is to "encourage a greater appreciation of the human body".
There are cross-sections and whole-body specimens of healthy and diseased bodies - the authenticity of the exhibits is the show's real attraction, say the organisers. But there has also been some headline-grabbing controversy, thanks to some of the exhibits being presented as artworks.
The exhibition continues until September 29. Entry to the gallery is £10 ($30.63) or £6 ($18.48) for children.
