Live like Kevin with the Plaza Hotel's Home Alone 2: Lost in New York package

In celebration of Home Alone 2's 25th anniversary, New York's Plaza Hotel is offering guests a fun-filled Kevin McAllister package.

Guests who want to live lavish during their stay can book the packages that start at $895 (NZ$1301), which is slightly less than the $967 that Kevin spent on room service in the movie, the Daily Mail reports.

"In room and throughout the hotel a variety of experiences inspired by Kevin's time over the holiday's here at The Plaza will come to life for guests to enjoy," according to the hotel's website.

Guests will then be invited to dine in the Todd English Food Hall to taste-test a 90's inspired menu "with upscale versions of childhood favorites, or to head over to the interactive photo-experience where they'll find themselves in Kevin's New York journey".

Included in the package is an "over-the-top" ice cream sundae from room service, just like the one Kevin had in the film.

The hotel concierge will also arrange for guests to experience quintessential New York sights, like the Empire State Building, Wollman Rink and a limo trip through the city.
But for true Home Alone fans, the pigeon lady, played by actress Brenda Fricker, is not included.

And neither is a guest appearance from Donald Trump.

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York aired on November 20, 1992, starring snarky little Kevin McCallister, who was played by Macaulay Culkin.

When Kevin loses track of his father at the airport, he mistakenly gets on a plane headed for New York City -- while the rest of the McCallisters fly to Florida.

And although Kevin finds food, lodging and fun using his dad's credit card, he learns that the Wet Bandits, played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, have escaped prison and are also in New York.

The package will be available to book as of December 1, 2017, and guests will have nearly a year to enjoy the experience until Monday, October 29, 2018.
