Leave more than footprints

Trees for Travellers provides an environmentally friendly way to leave a mark at Kaikoura.

Travellers buy a native tree for either $20 or $40, which is planted in their name.

They can then follow the progress of the tree on the website by keying in a tree number.

An online map of the Kaikoura area highlights the location of the tree and shows photos of the planting area, with information about the type of tree.

Photos are updated seasonally, and if sponsors return to Kaikoura they can visit their tree, which is identified by a tag.
