Kohukohu goes kauri

The pretty town of Kohukohu on the Hokianga Harbour has many attractive kauri buildings that can be seen on the local walking trail.

On Sunday September 18, visitors have a rare opportunity to see inside these buildings on a tour led by architectural expert Tony Watkins.

The tour departs from the Kohukohu library at noon and includes afternoon tea in a kauri villa.

It ends around 3pm at Marg Morrow's Photographic Gallery, where a new exhibition will be opened.

Cost is $25 each or $20 pre-booked. Numbers are limited. Accommodation is also available.
