Kauri is king

The second Northland Kauri Festival runs September 14-30, offering a range of activities associated with the majestic kauri tree. Events throughout the region include kauri-carving and wood-turning demonstrations, a kauri quiz evening, night walk adventures into Puketi and Waipoua forests, exhibitions, tours, street parades, and entertainment.
