Carnival Cruise Lines' new 84,000-tonne Carnival Spirit will kick off its inaugural season with a 16-day Panama Canal cruise from Miami to Los Angeles in April, followed by a special three-day Pacific coastal cruise from San Francisco.
On the 2124-passenger liner, 80 per cent of the staterooms have an ocean view and most have a private verandah. tThe Spirit will sail in Alaskan waters and the Caribbean.
