Do you travel light or heavy?
I usually pack too heavy, don't wear half the things I take and hate unpacking at the other end.
Cattle or first class?
Usually cattle class; the people at Air NZ are usually pretty nice if you ask for a decent seat though.
I can't travel without...
The laptop and blackberry.
What's always in your hand luggage?
My iPod. I love music and it's good for drowning out other sounds on the plane.
Are you a planner or last-minute packer?
I am a procrastinator, I know what I need to pack and where it is, but I prefer to put it off for as long as possible. When you're on the road every single week you get good at it, but it does not mean it's fun to do.
Favourite or most exciting airport to land in?
Wellington. I always check the forecast (especially the wind). It's always such a relief to land in Wellington safely.
Best packing tip?
If you pack too much its OK because that means you probably didn't forget anything.
Most memorable trip?
I flew to Sydney earlier this year and out of pure coincidence (I swear!) it was the Mardi Gras flight. Two hours before the flight, Air NZ held a cocktail party with a drag queen show. Once on the plane we all had a bottle of Champagne on our seats which everybody started popping as soon as we got on. In the air, the 42 Below mixologists played the role of drinks service accompanied by a lot of over-dramatic drag queens for entertainment. It was the cruisiest and booziest flight to Sydney I have ever been on!
