It's party time for the Year of the Monkey

Celebrate the start of the Chinese Year of the Monkey along Wellington's waterfront on February 1, from noon till 6pm.

An Asian Market will be held in Shed 6, Queen's Wharf, and at 3pm.

A parade starts at Courtenay Place and moves down Taranaki St to finish at Frank Kitts Park where the festival continues, with an emphasis on traditional and modern aspects of Chinese entertainment and culture.
