The situation in Fiji is unstable. Incidents of lawlessness and civil disobedience continue, although civilian road blocks and similar illegal activity have ceased.
The security situation and the outlook remain uncertain and could deteriorate quickly. There is still risk to personal safety and security.
Martial law remains in force. There is a curfew in Suva and central and eastern areas of Viti Levu.
New Zealanders are advised not to travel to Fiji.
All New Zealanders in Fiji should maintain current planning for leaving the country, in case the need arises.
New Zealanders are advised to maintain a high level of personal security awareness and to monitor developments in the news media. Special vigilance should be maintained in the greater Suva area. It is important to observe the curfew.
