Travellers on any Qantas long-haul flight now have the choice of watching non-stop movies, with the added bonus on some flights of cinema-quality surround-sound. The movie marathon means economy-class passengers on routes such as Auckland to Los Angeles or Buenos Aires can watch as many as four feature-length films, with a 15-minute break between each.
Recent customer research found that latest releases were popular with long-haul passengers. More than 20 titles will be shown each month.
On the shorter transtasman flight there will still be just one movie.
For first-class passengers, the bed-seats are so comfortable that they may well ignore the movie - and unlimited drinks - and sleep all the way home.
In-flight movies are just the ticket
