Steamy south
Every Sunday in December, January and February, visitors can ride
steam trains and trams, plus a rare electric tram at Ferrymead Heritage

On December 13, The Square in Palmerston North hosts a full day of
Highland events including dancing, solo piping and solo drumming for
school bands and youth. . It runs 8am to 6pm and bands participate in
a street march at 5.30pm.
