Blenheim in bloom
On November 8, Blenheim's picturesque Seymour Square takes on a carnival atmosphere for the Garden Fete. There'll be entertainment, food, and stalls selling plants, flowers, gardenware, art, furniture and more. It's part of Hunters Garden Marlborough, which runs November 4-9, and features garden tours and workshops.

Around 20 beautiful private gardens in and around Kerikeri will be open to the public during the Kerikeri New World Rotary Garden Safari, October 31 to November 1. Tickets are $20 and include entry, map and brochure.

Christmas is coming
The Christmas Country Fete will be held in the park-like gardens of Wynyard farm near Culverden on October 29. Around 200 stalls will offer top-quality arts and crafts from around the country. There will also be demonstrations, refreshments and entertainment. A delectable picnic lunch can be pre-booked. It costs $43 with lunch, or $20 entry only.
