Steam train ride
Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday during March, you can take a trip through the middle of Kawakawa on a steam train. The 3km trip takes about 30 minutes and departs from the Kawakawa Station at 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm. Fares are $8 (adults), $3 (children).

Go off-road
Take in the spectacular scenery at the northern end of the Coromandel Peninsula during the Kona Colville Connection mountain bike adventure on March 14. The event offers experienced riders a challenging off-road course, plus a 24km Jungle Safari for recreational riders.
