Hulas in Hawaii

Children and young people from throughout Hawaii will gather next month to swing their hips for the 10th annual hula competition.

The Kaanapali Beach Hotel hosts the November 10 and 11 event, which celebrates one of Hawaii's richest traditions, and also features an arts and crafts fair.

There are three main categories for the competitions: under 12-year-olds, over 13-year-olds and a partners' division in both age groups.
