Huka Lodge makes the grade

Taupo's Huka Lodge has been welcomed into the prestigious fold of the "Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd."

The luxury global marketing alliance strives to represent "the finest standards of world hospitality" while enhancing and strengthening what is offered to the public.

The alliance's area vice-president for Asia Pacific, Mark Greedy, described Huka Lodge as personifying the branding of the Leading Small Hotels of the World.

"It is an exquisite world-recognised luxurious retreat," he said of the 20-suite lodge set within 7ha of park-like grounds alongside the Waikato River, near Huka Falls.
