Auckland's Cornwall Park is not just an expanse of lawns, paddocks and stands of majestic trees. Twice a year, the public can take a guided tour of the parks gardens, with the next one held next Wednesday (August 28).
Over two hours, the park's horticultural supervisor Helen Swinburne will show and tell all there is to know about the plant nursery, the sunken garden, the twin oak flower bed and the poplar garden.
The guided tour is free, but bookings are essential.
