A circular footpath in London, dubbed the M25 for walkers, will offer a 240km scenic circuit of Greater London when it is finished next year.
The London Loop is already past the halfway mark, with 12 sections open to the public. Each section is connected to public transport and all take in cafes, pubs, picnic areas and links to other footpaths along the way.
Much of the loop follows rivers and canals and even peaceful havens for wildlife. Visitors to London can walk parts of the loop, from Erith to Kingston; Hayes to Uxbridge and Elstree to Chingford.
