Hawaiian adventures for the older traveller

Though travellers over 55 can always find a bed in a youth hostel, Hawaii offers them the Elderhostel.

The organisation runs a variety of educational adventures, many of which focus on the local cultures, the ecology and marine life.

Mid-September to mid-November is one of the most colourful times to visit Hawaii, when around 300 Aloha Festival events are held throughout the state.
