Sipping fine New Zealand wines amid music, beautiful gardens, vineyards and orchards can cost as little as $5. Head to Henderson on Sunday or Monday from 11 am to 5 pm.
Soljans Estate Winery and Pleasant Valley Winery will provide a spit roast lamb, chardonnay and sauvignon blanc, and jazz and country and western bands to entertain. At Soljans Winery, visitors receive a festival glass, which doubles as the entry ticket to the Pleasant Valley Winery, a 10-minute drive away.
The festival mood will also be flowing at Waimauku's West Brook Winery on Sunday and Monday from noon until 4 pm. Entry is free. Jazz and easy-listening live music will entertain, and food and wine can be bought.
