If you're looking for an outrageous hairdo, head to Womad NZ, in New Plymouth, March 11 to 13. Osadia, a street animation company from Barcelona, uses volunteers from the audience to create daring and original hair sculptures.
They are among more than 400 performers from around the world who willenliven the festival with visual arts, dance and music from folk to hip-hop and everything in between. There are also artist workshops, a global food village, and a Kidzone.
Tickets are from Ticketek and cost $145 for three days. Day and evening passes are also available.
