Guided safaris in Auckland

Urban safaris are a series of guided walks in Auckland guided by experts in geology, history, horticulture and the city's parks employees.

Sturdy footwear is needed for rough terrain and about 90 minutes of walking. All the walks are free, and bookings are essential.

The next scheduled walk is on Sunday along the Wattle Bay Reserve Coastal walkway, near Hillsborough.

Limited to 40 people, the walk leaves from the carpark on Canberra Ave, Lynfield at noon and 2 pm.

Cancellations are broadcast on Radio 1ZB.
