The Great Port Fitzroy Musselfest will be held on Great Barrier Island on January 7.
It's a chance to try mussels many ways, including kebabs, chilli, garlic, smoked, steamed in garlic, mussel burgers, pies and raw mussels fresh off the farm.
The day includes entertainment for all ages. It's held at The Boatclub and starts at 11am, continuing well into the night.
