Good sports in Hamilton

You don't have to be a sports enthusiast to enjoy the collection at Robinson Sports Museum and Gardens at Matangi, near Hamilton.

There's an incredible variety of antique sporting equipment and memorabilia, displayed in a quirky way.

The museum is complemented by beautiful grounds, which house original tennis and bowling pavilions, a jockey weigh-in room, and ticket boxes from a racecourse.

Paths around the lake lead to a fishing cabin, boathouse, fernery, rowing boat shed, and a maimai.
