Rotorua Duck Tours uses a restored, World War II amphibious vehicle to give visitors an unusual view of the city's attractions. The all-terrain, six-wheel-drive vehicle is used for a 90-minute, fun-filled land and lake adventure.
Highlights include Kuirau Park, the lakefront, with splashdown at Sulphur Point, Mokoia Island, Lake Okareka and the Blue Lake. Tours leave several times daily from the information centre. Costs: adult $68, child $38 (4-16 yrs), under-4s free, family $159 (two adults, two children), additional children $25.
