Germans love NZ

German tourists love New Zealand, a University of Otago survey of 1100 German visitors has found.

Most were highly satisfied and not one was totally dissatisfied.

German tourists, who bring in $140 million a year, are New Zealand's third-highest spenders behind Japanese and Americans.

The German view comes in sharp contrast with a similar survey of Americans last year in which many were unhappy with accommodation and service.
