Fresh Colorado snow

Early season snowfalls at Aspen, Colorado are an enticing prospect for New Zealand skiers who don't keep an eye on exchange rates.

More than a metre of fresh powder snow has already fallen at the resort, which expects to open in a few days.

Adult lift tickets, valid all season, are back this season by popular demand. They cost $US39 ($100) a day if bought by December 1. This price is based on a six-day ticket and represents a 40 per cent saving on a single-day price.

Holidaymakers can also get discounted ticket options at $US29 a day on a three-day or longer lift ticket bought by March 15.
