Travel company Abercrombie & Kent has acknowledged travelling alone is not always purely liberating and exciting - sometimes it's a bit lonely.

For the traveller who abhors the idea of big group tours, but would like the company of a few like-minded travellers, the Escorted Journeys of Discovery series has been developed by A&K.

New for this year are destinations such as Oman, Myanmar, Bhutan, China, Mexico and Turkey, with trips created for groups as small as six people (the maximum is 24) and leeway for singles to travel without paying the standard supplement.
