On time? Departure from Auckland to Brisbane was scheduled for 7.30pm but the flight was delayed until 8pm while they cleaned the plane. This of course meant our Brisbane connection was delayed, but all up we were only 35 minutes behind schedule, landing at 6.30am local time.
Fellow passengers: I only had one passenger beside me, who was polite, quiet and kept to themselves — a perfect neighbour for a flight.
Entertainment: Wi-Fi was available to purchase, and there were three inflight magazines to choose from plus a good range of movies and television shows, games and music. You won't get bored.
Service: Great, really slick. Each person in Premium Economy was given a small case with dental kit, eye mask, comb, lip balm and hand cream. Wet towels were handed out throughout the flight.
Food and drink: For the first meal we only had one option; however on the second leg we had two more meal times for which we had two options. They were tasty and well-balanced meals with fruit, vegetables, carbs, protein and a sweet treat. Two proper drink holders for each person.
Toilets: Your standard plane toilets. Clean and working, which is always a bonus.
Luggage: Carry-on luggage was stored with no issues.
The airport experience: We had an employee from China Airlines in our party, so the airport experience was smooth and stress-free. I'm looking forward to seeing the new and improved version of Auckland Airport once renovations are complete.
Would I fly this again? Definitely. If you you are able to afford a little extra for Premium Economy it's definitely worth it.
