Fellow passengers: The usual mix of Aussies and Kiwis.
How full? I didn't notice many empty seats.
Food and drink: It was a morning flight, so the options were a frittata with potato wedges or hotcakes with berry compote. Generally I would've gone for the hotcakes, but I'd already enjoyed some at McDonalds prior to my departure (an Auckland Airport tradition), so I went savoury. It was all right. I mostly ate the wedges.
Entertainment: There were a lot of recent releases and I chose to rewatch one I'd seen before: I, Tonya. I decided to save Call Me By Your Name for the way back, but alas, it was not available on the A320 that took me home.
Service: Friendly cabin crew, as you'd expect from Air New Zealand.
The kind who gives you the full can of Coke, not just the paltry plastic glass. However, I did note that they banged into me quite a lot (more so than fellow passengers) as they walked the aisles. It made me rethink my seat choice for the way back.
Toilets: Clean enough.
Airport experience: Auckland International Airport seems to be different every time I go through at the moment, so it was exciting to see the new placements of the all the shops.
At last the renovations seem close to being finished.
Would I take this flight again? Yes, because I would love to visit South Australia again.
