An Asian and Pacific Council eight-page brochure published in conjunction with Air New Zealand offers information on where to see the best gardens of Tasmania and Victoria.

Basic package options start with three nights in Melbourne at Redan Quest at $699 a person and a combo of three nights in Tasmania and three in Melbourne from $1159. The offer is available to June 30 from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

There's also Aspac's romantic retreats programme, featuring hideaways in the Hunter Valley, Hamilton Island, tropical North Queensland, the Gold Coast, the Blue Mountains and Victoria and Cradle Mountains. Some packages include breakfasts, dinners, picnics, massages, facials, upgrades and special transfers. Packages use Qantas, with travel available to March 31.
