The plane: An Airbus A320.
My seat: 17E, the uncomfortable middle seat on the right.
Cost: One way starts at $83.
How full: Chocka, with only a couple of empty seats. Maybe people getting away early for Easter Weekend.

Fellow passengers: More locals than tourists. And an annoying pashing couple in the seats in front of me.
Flight time: An hour and 40 minutes. Things were pretty bumpy up above, with turbulence nearly the whole way; the seatbelt sign stayed on. Happily it wasn't bumpy enough to upset the cabin service.
Food and drink: Hooray, it was Koru Hour - cheese and crackers, pretzels or a cookie, with wine (Vidal and Leftfield), beer, soft drinks or tea, coffee or water.
Entertainment: Not even the quiz! I made do with an OK magazine I found in the departure lounge.
Would I fly this again: I love Koru Hour.
And it's also a great way to get the most out of your last day in this beautiful part of New Zealand.
From temples and French architecture to shacks and fish farms, the Mekong has it all.
